The Boston Breakers first game will be up against Seattle Reign on Sunday (April 13th) where they will be heading out to Seattle for their first taste of this new season, then the next game the Breakers will be going against will be Houston Dash on April 20th at Harvard uni stadium which the breakers will be calling home for the nwsl season this year!

If you dont know who they are!

The Boston Breakers have been the face of women’s pro soccer in Boston for quite a while now, first competing in the women’s pro soccer league (You can check out the old Boston breaker news feed here on their website) for 3 years until it folded in 2012! And straight away getting back into the pro womens soccer scene by taking up the opportunity to play in the nwsl, whilst many other wps teams simply disappeared once the wps ended.. the breakers didn’t! Last year they were able to finish the league in fifth place.. hopefully this year they can do better!

The season ahead!

There are high expectations for the Breakers this year especially with their new roster which includes plenty of talent from Boston and from across the world. The team also has a great new coach Tom Durkin and by the looks of the roster has really shook up the team. We will be seeing ten of the same players who played for the team in lasts season return but we will also be seeing ten totally brand new players added to the roster to make things interesting! For more details on the full roster you can visit; http://www.bostonbreakerssoccer.com/home/800045.html

All the nwsl games are apparently being streamed on YouTube… so you don’t have to miss any of the action meaning you can watch all the games when they are happening for free!

What are your hopes or expectations for our women’s soccer team?
